Startups do not have a data problem yet. They have a few systems, a founder who knows every number, and a team small enough to talk to each other.

That is exactly the moment the foundations are cheapest to build. Every month that passes adds more history to clean up later.

What we actually do at this stage

Less than you might expect, and that is deliberate.

We connect the systems you already run into one warehouse in your own cloud account. Usually that is the shop, the accounting tool, and the 3PL or fulfilment partner. We agree the basic definitions once, revenue, customer, margin, and set up the handful of reports that matter weekly.

Then we automate the things already eating your time. Order handling, the weekly numbers, the file someone rebuilds every Monday. Small builds, each done in days.

What we tell you not to do

Do not buy an ERP yet. Do not hire a data person yet. Do not buy the planning platform the sales rep says you have grown into.

Most startups spend too early on systems and too late on foundations. The stack you have is probably fine for another year or two if the data underneath it is clean and connected.

Part of our job at this stage is being the people who tell you what not to spend on. That advice usually pays for the engagement on its own.

Growing without the headcount curve

The pattern to avoid is the one where every step of growth adds a person. More orders, someone in operations. More reporting, someone in finance. More channels, a coordinator.

Set up right, most of that work never becomes a job. The reporting builds itself, the orders flow without rekeying, and the team you have stays focused on product and customers.

Your first operations hire then arrives later, and arrives into a business where the manual work is already gone. That is a much better job, and a much better hire.

What it costs

Engagements at this stage are small and fixed. Weeks, not months, with a defined scope and a price agreed up front.

Everything we build is yours. It sits in your accounts, it is documented, and we show you how it works before we leave. When you are ready for more, the foundation is already in place.

The startups we most enjoy meeting are the ones who think they are too small for this. They are usually the ones who get the most from it.

The work is small at this stage. That is the point of doing it now.
